Session 1: Type and IFS (Internal Family Systems): Meeting Your Protectors Through Type

Ever notice how your Type preferences can go into overdrive when you're stressed, or how you rigidly avoid unconscious functions? What if those patterns are actually parts of you working hard to keep you safe? In this opening session, we'll explore how IFS helps us recognize and befriend our protector parts, including the “managers" who keep everything under control and the “firefighters" who react when things feel overwhelming.
I hope you’ll leave with a new understanding of how your Type might inform which protectors show up most strongly, and learn to approach them with curiosity rather than conviction.
Meeting four times/year, this PTC is open to all current APTI members at no additional charge.

Feb 26th - Session 1: Meeting Your Protectors Through Type 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM ET (Note: this session starts an hour later than the ususal 1:00 PM ET start time.)
May 28th - Session 2: Embracing Your Exiles 1:00-2:30 PM ET
August 27th Session 3: Leading from Self 1:00-2:30 PM ET
October 29th Session 4: Weaving It Together: IFS, Type, and the Individuation Journey 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM ET
The goal of the Psychological Type Community model is to create a sense of community where people get to know each other better through discussions. Sessions will be recorded. However, you will benefit most by participating in the live online sessions.
